The office Pasel-K Architects was founded in 2011 by Ralf Pasel and Mareike Krautheim in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. One year later the opening of the Berlin office followed. Pasel-K Architects explores projects on the intersection between urbanism and architecture with a particular focus on housing issues and mixed used urban planning. Following their Dutch roots, the office has a strong affinity to research by design methodologies and approaches projects from the perspective of an extended contextual understanding.
The practice has received numerous international awards for their innovative housing strategies and building processes.
Next to Pasel-K Architects, Ralf Pasel is also principal of pasel.künzel architects Rotterdam, Berlin, Munich.
